"Bomb Iran" was a parody song, sung to the tune of the Beach Boys song "Barbara Ann" and was one of the most popular songs in the United States in 1980.   The recent bombings of Iranian nuclear weapons facilities was a shock throughout the world, but it has been brewing for 45 years!  This episode talks about the song and how US/Iran relations got to this point.

A solar flare two weeks ago is hitting the earth right now.  The sun seems brighter and hotter, especially over the northern hemisphere right now, because it is.  Solar radiation can radically and suddenly change the global climate but no one is talking about it because there is no political angle.  Even the "climate change" people aren't talking about it.

The best way to get better stuff at the baby shower is don't tell people the gender of the baby!  That way you're more likely to get useful items rather than all blue or pink blankets! 

Try.  Don't believe it when you tell yourself you can't.  Just try.  Advice to Gen Z and anecdotes from my high school track team.

The 2024 Presidential election is three weeks away.  Are you still undecided?  Here's my opinion.  Maybe it will help you decide.

A southern cafe in North Carolina is probably a barbeque place.  There is a different vibe, a different feel, in a local Southern Cafe that you can't get in a chain restaurant. 

Torrential rain from Hurricane Helene forced snakes out of their holes.  Two of my dogs were bitten.  Here is our snake bite story and some advice in case your dog is bitten.

My son and daughter in law were able to escape from the devastation left by hurricane Helene.  Four days without power, cell service, or internet connection.  For two days we couldn't communicate with them at all and had no idea if they were okay or not!  Asheville NC is still devastated.
